Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu Appoints KWAM1’s Daughter As SSA On Tourism


Basirat Damilola Marshall, one of the daughters of Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde, a.k.a. KWAM1, has been appointed by Babbajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor, as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism, Punch reports.

Marshall, a legal practitioner was appointed by the governor to complement work done in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture by the Commissioner, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, and the Special Adviser, Idris Aregbe.

The Fuji artist thanked the governor of Lagos state for the honor given to his daughter while performing at the birthday party of Oba Sikiru Olamide Apena.


Marshall served as the Principal Partner of a leading law firm in Lagos, Damilola Ayinde Marshal & Company until she was appointed Senior Special Assistant.

The commercial law firm services both international and local clients in a broad spectrum of practice areas ranging from Property Law, Criminal Defense, and Corporate Law Practice to Family and Estates Law.

She attended Nigeria Law School, Abuja for her Bar Part 1, after excelling in her undergraduate studies in 2013. She proceeded to the Nigeria Law School, Lagos for her Bar Part 2 program and was called to the Nigerian Bar immediately afterward in 2015. She was awarded a Master of Laws from the prestigious University of Lagos in 2022.
